Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California
My cousin is currently in a California detention facility. He is being accused of threating someone with a gun, he admits getting in a fight but he did not threaten anyone with a gun. What can he do to prove himself innocent?

Nothing. At best he can defend the charges and hope the DA can't prove them.
