Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

Deposition notice

Hi, I was recently sent a notice of deposition w/demand for production of documents. This is a case being tried in civil court. I have only been given 10 days notice. I was under the impression that I should have been given 20 days notice. If so, what can I doabout this

Re: Deposition notice

Serve an objection to the document production request and consider suggesting they move the deposition.

Notice for depositions required is 10 days plus days for mailing, if not personally served. If a document production is also requested, depending on if it is certain records or not, is the same as the deposition notice. See CCP 2020.220

Re: Deposition notice

Send a proper objection to the attorney, stating the grounds. The courts encourage and demand the parties cooperate in resolving such disputes without court intervention.
