Can a parent evict their adult children from their house?

of course, simply by kicking them out and changing the locks.

Just change the locks and put his or her belongings on the doorstep, call the police if you must.

I don't agree about putting his things on the doorstep. I think Mr. Stone is suggesting that to emphasize the eviction. You could store his things off-premises for safekeeping for a reasonable time.
