if a false judgment in is place just how much can my very low income be garnished

There is no such thing as a 'false' judgment. If you allowed a default to be entered against you, or you fought and lost, then the judgment can be used to levy on your income. You have to right to oppose levy by filing appropriate pleadings in the court. If this was a default judgment, or one improperly entered against you, you may be able to set it aside. If you don't know how to do these things correctly, consult with a local attorney. There are frequently 'public interest' legal clinics that could help you at low cost or free. Contact your local Lawyers Referral Service and ask.
