forfeiture

i recently used my home for a property bond of a 100,000 the person did not show to court now my home is being forfeitured what does this mean and what can i do to keep my home

You might re-post this for a criminal attorney to answer, as I do not practice criminal law.

It appears to me that one of the risks in securing a bond with a house is just what you're experiencing. I hope this works out for you and your loved one.

Sorry, but you've just discovered the reality of posting bond. You can pay off the $100k to the bondsman and hope to collect it from the defendant [yeah, right]; you can work with [i.e. help pay] the bondsmans' bounty hunter to find and arrest the defendant. If you or the bondsman can drag the defendant back to court there is a chance the court will exonerate [release your liability on] the bond.
