Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California
Gun Laws
I had a rough spot in my life a couple
years back and had checked myself in
on my own free will to a mental hospital
(I was having suicidal thoughts) does
this mean I will be unable to purchase,
own, or possess a fire arm ?

Re: Gun Laws
Quite likely, yes. You can do a voluntary check of 'eligibility to purchase' through BATFE to see. If barred, then you can seek relief from the ban through a motion to the court to restore rights. Feel free to contact me for the legal help you'll need in those court proceedings.
