Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

harrassment by police

I stop by a school or may be a park on the city street between 6:30-7:00am. About 15-20 minute later I was about

to leave when I notice a cop park behind me. He searches my car all that stuff etc. He said that some lady called on me laying back in my car. He goes on to tell me that I cannot park 500 yards from the nursery, and something about neighborhood. He did not tell me if I did something illegal, I told them that i feel that my right have been violated because he did not ask my permision to search my car. And he said that I have no right and that next time they will find something to arrest me with and he assured me that i will lose. And they make leave and told me not to come back. Is it illegal to stop by a school, nursery or park 2-3 times a week or every day for a couple of minutes before moving on to my destination?.

Re: harrassment by police

Obviously they are watching for sexual deviants, some of whom hang out in parks and fantasize about little kids. You are not one of these people, I hope, but you can see how they might be concerned. File a civilian complaint of misconduct with the police department, repeating everything you just said. And don't go back to the park.
