Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

cited and released grounds for search?

I was pulled over for no expired car registration,I gave the officer my license ,upon running my info ,she told me I had a warrent for some type of drug charge {11364 h+s},

[I had never recceived notification of a warrent}.then Officer asked to search my car, I said no. I was Cited and released {given a ticket with info and a court date}for warrent, No ticket was givin for registration. but then a tow truck was called {my car was towed after i was arrestted}The officer proceeded to search my car after the ticket {cite + release}was givin to me. Then i was arrestted for a bag the officer found {in my purse on the floor of car}. during booking the arresting officer came in and asked for the ticket {cite+released}said she was going to tear it up.I asked for a copy, she repeated to offer to tear it up, Ideclined so she wrote void across it. Is this leagal? thanks kim

Re: cited and released grounds for search?

You're complaining that the police dropped some or all of the charges? I guess you could convince them to reinstate the ticket, if you want. Your attention needs to be on the drug charges.
