Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

Jailed for Clerical Error!

I have a friend that was arrested in San Francisco for a error made from LA County. LA County did not erase a bench warrant that was cleared and now my friend was in jail for 7 days. Is there any legal action or he can take because of this mistake against LA County's Error? Please Advise.

Yes, it is possible to make a claim of false arrest and imprisonment, if he can show the LA courts failed to timely clear the records. Have him contact me if interested in doing so.
