Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

A lady stolen my money ,a lot ,my check and my credit card .I went to report the thief 's name with police ,after one mounth the detective told me that they could'nt find the person and they are going to close my case .

How to complain the police department and force them to catch the thief ? or is there another way to catch the thief ?

If you have enough money, nothing is impossible. You can pay an investigator and an attorney to locate the defendant and track them down. You may need $100,000.00. Good luck.

If you know where the thief is, report that info to the police. They obviously couldn't find her. If you find her, you can always sue the thief, if it is economically sensible to do so.
