Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

No legal representation?

I was served and did time, for a 30,000$ warrant for something i beleive was a case of stolen identity. The failure to appear charge stemmed from a marijuanna posession of under an oz. and illegal window tint in Antelope Valley County. I had never got a ticket for those charges in that area, EVER. When i went to court i was not given no public defender and was given no legal advice on how i should have gone about the charges or plea. i asked the judge if i could explain the situation, i was denied and told just to enter a plea. I plead guilty unknowing of how i should have pleaded and now the record comes back to haunt me for job opportunities. This happened about 2 years ago and my question is, can i fix this and/or get compensated for violation of my civil rights for denying me legel advice? thank you

Re: No legal representation?

It MAY be possible to expunge the record so you can say 'no' to conviction questions on employment applications. Contact me if interested in discussiong the facts and costs to do so.
