If your loved one died because of hospital's negligence, and you knew or with reasonable diligence should have known about it, then you should bring your action within one year.

The qualified heirs or the estate have one year from the death to bring legal action, but need proof of medical negligence to do so. That proof is the opinion of a medical expert you will need to consult with and hire IF he agrees there was such negligence.
If serious about pursuing this, and if you are still timely, and if you are a representation qualified to bring such action, feel free to contact me to discuss the facts and proof.
