Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

I just moved into an appartment, i have a 6 and 14 year old daughter, i found out that my neighbor is a registered child molestor. what rights do i have, should the apartment knowing i have children should they have told me before i agreed to move in? should they give me a different apartment away from this person? what legal rights do i have?

The law does not obligate the landlord to research and disclose such things. If it did, no RSO would ever be able to find a place to live. You were free to search the RSO database online before choosing your residence. Besides, many people on the RSO list are not 'predators', but people caught up in after-the-fact accusations of date rape, minor public offenses, etc.
