Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California
police abuse
I was legally parked in a public lot around midnight in Jan. 2006 while my friend stood aside my vehicle smoking a cigarette. Police car pulls in the lot and a voice says, ''I'm going to handcuff you and put you in the back of our car'' to my friend with no provocation. I am forced out of my vehicle with a taser pointed at my face from 3 feet away and forced to stand outside in freezing cold wind, shivering uncontrollably without appropriate clothing for around 20 minutes. I nearly froze to death. There was no crime or suspicious activity to cause their actions and they've claimed no misdeeds in response to my written complaint. They have a video tape that unless doctored should prove what I say. I also have previous experience with them torturing me and exonerating the ''officer.'' My question is will you help me?

Re: police abuse
Again, you have my sympathy, but you weren't injured and you waited until after the 6 month state time limit to ask for legal advice. You say they rousted you previously, maybe they will roust you again and you won't wait months to call a lawyer next time. "You snooze, you lose." Civil Code Sec. 3546. Now quit whining.
