right to remain silent

to what point can law enforcement question me... do i have to answer any questions....whats the only thing i have to answer...what are the magic words to stop them from questiong me...

The 'magic words' are that you decline to answer without your attorney present, at which point they take you to jail and you can call him. Other than to provide your name and ID information as required, always exercise your 5th Amendment right to SHUT UP when questioned. Most DA's will tell you that people convict themselves by being 'helpful' to police.

Law enforcement can't question you unless you volunteer to be questioned. You have the right to remain silent. The magic words are, "With all respect, Officer, I have nothing to say to you, and I'd like to call my attorney now." The word "attorney" invokes your right to counsel, and the questioning will stop.
