Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

We want to remove the hyphen from our daughters last name. We are not sure if it was

hospital error or if we wrote it that way. Our daughter was supposed to have 2 middle

names, one traditional and one which is my wifes maiden name, a tradition for my wifes

family. Her current birth records show Courtney Roxanne Muna-Greer But we would like for

it to read Courtney Roxanne Muna Greer. Do we need to file papers through the CA Superior

Court in our respective county or can we ammend the certificate using form VS24?

You could file it in court asking for the correction or change. If it is truly an error file a VS24 then resort to court if it does not work out.
