Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

Restraining order against me

I dated a girl for 2 months off and on.

About 6 weeks ago, I found out that

she had a fiance of 3 years, he called

me. We didn't speak for a few weeks.

About 4 weeks later, I met her at a

club and she said that she was scared

to tell me about her fiance. She said

that we can hang out as friends and I

said yes because she told me that

she broke up with her fiance. We

went out 2 times and spoke on the

phone a few times. The other

evening her fiance calls me and

confronted me and I told him that we

were just freinds. He called her and

confronted her and to get back at me

got a restraining order against me

and I did nothing wrong. I didn't stalk

or harrass her at all. I'm moving back

to Pennsylvania in 12 days, I live in

California presently. I will not be here

to defend myself. I will never see or

talk to her again. I'm changing my

phone number. Am I forced to stay in

California Question 1 and Question 2

Are there any problems this will

cause me in life or my career? In

summary, I will never see or hear

from her again. Thanks for answering

these questions.

Re: Restraining order against me

If you don't defend the charges, a restraining order will likely be imposed. If it is, you automatically become a person prohibited from owning firearms, and it is on your 'criminal' record forever. It will then also likely seriously impact your employability. Don't let that happen by default. If the case is in SoCal, and you're serious about fighting it, feel free to contact me.
