Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

Ro no show

my attorney and i separated ways less than 24 hours ago, i signed the subst. form, went to court this morning for a ro my soon to be ex has against me, (he is really the abuser of the relationship) he has his legal fees paid easily by a friend. i went to court and asked the judge for a cont. because the atty and i parted yesterday, he said no i already had one, (when i realized i needed counsil, and my attny also cont. due to another case of his) the judge awarded my ex this ro for 5 years and me to anger mngmnt for 52 weeks. i said i couldnt represent myself and he said he didnt want to leave my ex hanging. i had a lot of evidence but sat there stunned. help.

You can try an appeal, or Motion for Reconsideration but it will be difficult.

You now have to dig out of the hole you're in, and it will be hard and expensive to do, with no guarantee of success. You'll have to file a motion for reconsideration, or file an appeal or writ. If you're serious, contact a local attorney quickly; there are time limits.
