Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

I am selling my firearms to a private party, he was put on delay for 9 months so we canceled private party transfer. My question is since I have already did my droj paper work when I bought it do I have to do it again since they canceled the transfer. Are the guns still legally mine and do I have to wait 10 days again even if guns are mine that I have already paid for and where registered in my name. If transfer was cancel should they just give me the legal owner back my guns with out doing droj again. I'm not buying guns I'm picking up my guns because droj was on delay for 9 months and would not respond. So we had to cancel transfer. Can they make me do a droj just to pick up my guns that never transferred and was canceled?

Your chosen firearms dealer will tell you the requirements for return to you of the firearms, under your specific fact situation, under his store policies and the rules of DOJ. The dealer will follow the DOJ rules, and will charge you for any other transfer fees incurred in the return. Talk to him.
