Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

sex offender class action lawsuit?

there are a group of us sex offenders in California that are interested in removing our name from the internet. When we made the agreement we didn't agree to have our name published all over the internet.

which we think are ex post facto law.

Not only that but also some cities that pass the 1000 feet jessica law.

Who should we be talking to ?

thanks

Re: sex offender class action lawsuit?

The government enacted such laws to 'protect the public'. The only ways possible to make a change are to convince the state and cities to do so, or to succeed in a constitutional challenge of the law as it applies to you. I have some sympathy with your position, as it could be argued that once jail, parole and probation time is served, no one should be subject to continuing penalties. If you're ready, willing and able to fund the substantial fees and costs of such legal actions, feel free to contact me to discuss it.
