Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

Shoplifting

I was caught shoplifting a bottle of wine I had intended on purchasing. I have been on a very high dosage of diabetic pills as well as some pain killers for my knee. I placed the bottle in my coat pocket while I was waiting to be waited on by a clerk. The line was very long and I just sort of began walking around the store and walked outside and a security man stopped me and asked me to come back inside. I followed him to a room and he and another man asked me some questions. When i reached inside my coat to take out the bottle, they both jumped on me and threw me to the ground, facedown. I began to struggle because the bottle of wine was pushing up into my stomach and i couldn't breath. I kept begging for them to get off me because I couldn't breath and that I felt like I was about to have a heat attack. But they still kept shoving my face into the cement and wouldn't get off of me. My face was bleeding and finally, an other guy came in and heard me screaming ''I couldn't breath!'' and he made them get off of me. I had a quintuplet bi pass surgery a few years ago and I honestly felt I was about to die during this ordeal. I never meant to steal the item, I had almost a 1K$$$ in cash at the time. What should I do?
