Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California
shoplifting offense
is it legal for the 'accomplice' [was unaware of being one] to be fined for a shoplifting offense? I did not take anything but am still labeled as an accomplice and am being charged.

Re: shoplifting offense
Is it "legal"? is the wrong question. Is it possible to be convicted? - yes if the facts are there. Get an attorney if you want to best defend against the charges with whatever defenses and evidence you have. Feel free to contact me if serious about doing so.
