Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

Status: New 08/15/09, 2:52 pm QuestionI have owned a home in Huntington Beach ca. since 1967 and for the last severl years I have had and still have a small single axel travel trailer parked in my drive way. It meets all city codes as faras storage goes as it is height and length proper. It is not that attractive and the niebhors are more that unhappy. My problem is this. Local code enforcemt officers have been pleged with one or more of my spinless niebors complaining that I am living in it. I live in the three bedroom house but I do escape out to my little space from time to time for what ever reason. Yes I do have cable and power connected for tv and light. I was given a copy of penal code #@*&^*^%# something about occupie a temp structure. The local code officer told me that the next time he came by if there was any body sleeping or watching tv in the trailer he would have a police unit and uniformed officers taking people to jail.. How is this legal??? And do they have the right to enter with out warrent or probable cause.. I do not bother anybody and have lived here longer than any one els. Can you please help me

Help is dealing with and correcting the problem. If code enforcement is trying to get you to remove the trailer, that is the only thing that is going to stop the 'harassment'. You can hire me to defend you every time you get cited, or you can remove it. If serious about defending it, feel free to contact me.
