Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California
story in newspaper
Can I do a story in our local newspaper about an upcoming minister in a church that has used young women and then lied about being with them and not get sued? Can I name names or how would I go about warning others about him. My daughter was a victim of his lies for 12 months and he is now denying that they were ever together to his parents, Bishop, church members, work and mutual friends.

Re: story in newspaper
You risk being sued for slander if there is anything in your story except the absolute provable truth. She has a lawsuit against him, don't risk harming it by trying to generate 'publicity'. Feel free to contact me if serious about pursuing the case.
