Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

Superior Court Rules

I'm looking for a shortlist of the Orange County/Los Angeles Superior/Municipal Court Rules of Court. Basically, the deadline dates secretaries need to diary for their attornies, i.e., discovery cut-off dates, etc. for trial, arbitration etc.. I have an interview on Friday, and need a quick refresher course on due dates. Help anyone?

If you don't already know these kind of things, you're going to have some serious difficulties 'faking' your way through a legal secretary job unless the boss knows you're a beginner, but you can learn the same way everyone else did. Go to the law library and read either Rutter's or CEB's set, 'Civil Procedure Before Trial'.

You will want to review the California Rules of Court and the California Code of Civil Procedure. Local rules provide very few deadlines, as the state rules have abrogated most of those.
