Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

We are unofficially storing our motor home in the lot of a business and we pay the owner of the business $25/mo. Unfortunately we have not made a payment in a while and want to make good on the agreement. We have always been in contact and he has always had our contact information. Is it legal for him to put a lien of ownership on our vehicle and sell it without contacting us?

He might have acquired the right to lien the property, and sell it, just like any U-stor type facility when rent isn't paid, but there are notice of default and notice of sale rules that apply. If he sold it without compliance, he can be sued for its value. If that is your situation, feel free to contact me for the legal help you'll need.
