Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California
a warrant was served on my residence , but none of the things the warrant was issued for was found ...do I have grounds for a law sute ?

No, the test is whether the police had a reasonable belief that the objects might be in your home, not whether they do in fact find the objects [if it is a drug raid and the occupant tosses the drugs down the toilet, would it make sense that the police could then be sued?].
