Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California
My wife has a 5150 detention she was held for 72 hours and released. she is a school teacher and will this be on a record if she does a live finger print scane for teaching? and if so can we expunge this? thank you your site is very helpful, rick.

Of course it will be on her record, and no, it can't be 'expunged'. That commitment may also have made her into a 'prohibited person' under federal and state law who cannot own or possess a firearm or ammunition. If concerned about that, check with the local police or district attorneys dept, or apply at a gun store for a 'NON- purchase background check'.
