Threats by police if victim did not snitch

police wanted to question my brother about a bb gun shooting no injuries. police stopped me in my car thinking i was my brother. after showing I.D police searched me, my car, I am on probation with a search clause. they found a small amount of weed and some small baggies in my car . the officer pulled me away from other offercers and told me if I did't tell him where my brother was he would keep the weed and arrest me in three days. He was giving me three days to snitch or would come and put a warrent out for me for possision for sales.When my mother pulled up and asked what was going on the officer told me to tell my mom to wait by the car so she couldn't hear.The police left with my weed and a final warning . now what the heck do I do with this problem. I don't know where my brother is and I wouldn't let them threaten me into telling even if I knew. I really need some guidence. I am 22 years old. I want to thank any one that can help me with these illeagle police tactics.

I do not think the police are doing anything illegal. They had the right to search you because you were on probation. They found drugs and believe you committed a crime. They want your brother and will not pursue the matter if you tell them where he is. I am not sure how this could be illegal.
