Legal Question in Construction Law in California
Pool/Spa Leaks after only 3 years
I have an in-ground gunite pool/spa that is only 3 years old and has developed a leak. In addition, the coping on the pool was specified as a ''used brick'', and red brick was used and the contractor used drywall cement spashed on to make it look like ''used brick''. I have tried unsuccessfully multiple times over the last 3 years to get the pool contractor to replace the coping and now I have a leak. I am writing him a certified letter requesting repair, but I expect the same non-responsiveness. What are my legal options?

to either negotiate a resolution or bring a TIMELY lawsuit. Suggest you check with local counsel about doing so if you still have time before the statute of limitations runs.

I would agree with Mr. Nelson on you legal options. If you dont think that your letter will prompt a response you may wish to hire a lawyer to write a letter.
