Auto dealer- contract rescission w/o returning DP or trade in
On March 24,2001 I purchased a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee from a dealership. The dealership gave me $6000.00 for my 89 Acura Lege as a trade-in. They repossessed the Jeep on May 18th saying they couldn't get me financing. As of June 18th,I have yet to receive my Acura or check for the amount they allowed as a trade-in.
Is it legal for them to take this long? If so,what is the time frame? Right now,as it stands,I have no Jeep, no Acura and no check. and shortly no job!
What can I do???

If the dealer couldn't finance your deal, you should have received your vehicle back by now (or cash). It is illegal for the dealer not to return your consideration. Call me at my office to discuss (818 597-2610). Howard Silver
