Bought a tranny from a junk yard
it was the wrong one. Bought one
somewhere else. Junk yard is
giving me a problem with getting
my money back.

Did the junk yard make any specific promises regarding this transmission? If not, they probably have a "no returns" policy that will stick.
But don't give up -- just find a resolution you both can live with. Perhaps they would be willing to give you credit instead of cash, so that they get your future business and you are not stuck trying to sell a tranny you don't need. Perhaps they would be willing to give you 90% cash back. Think outside the box; be polite, firm and tenacious in pursuing a reasonable resolution.
