Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

auto shop, malpractice (lemon law)

I have taken my car into an auto mechanics shop (precicision automotive) to have my brake pads replace; however, I've been having major problems ever since.

let me start off by stating my occurences.

Getting the break pads replaced, led to having replacement of both front rotors. Withen one month-- brakes went out again. I took the car back to mechanic (was still under the 30 day 3,000 mile warranty)however, while driving back from the auto repair shop my car over heated. I then had the car towed back to the repair shop. They said it was due to my thermostat sticking, causing head gasket to blow. I paid for that to be repaired. When driving the car back from the automobile mechanic, I proceeded to park my car. I then noticed something hanging from under the engine. I had my car towed to a Chrysler dealer, there mechanic's were able to determine that my starter was broken, because one of the screw's was not inserted from a mechanic whom preciously worked on the vehicle.(precision Automotive

please help me with any action or matter available. I can appreciate any info regarding the lemon law that might come into effect in this matter, My car is a 1998 Plymoth Breeze with 58,000 miles.

Re: auto shop, malpractice (lemon law)

YOU MAY INDEED HAVE A LEMON LAW TYPE CLAIM AGAINST THE MANUFACTURER OF YOUR VEHICLE AND THE PARTY WHO SOLD IT TO YOU. YOU ALSO MAY HAVE A CLAIM FOR NEGLIGENT REPAIRS AGAINST THE MECHANIC. AS THE MILEAGE ON YOUR VEHICLE IS 58,000 YOU SHOULD ACT IMMEDIATELY REGARDING YOUR PROBLEM. I WOULD BE HAPPY TO DISCUSS YOUR CASE WITH YOU EITHER IN PERSON OR BY THE PHONE. THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR THE CONSULTATION. THANK YOU, HOWARD SILVER (818)597-2610.
