Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
bought a car
I just went a got a used truck. I signed all the paperwork, traded in my old car, paid $500 down and went home a happy camper. @weeks later i get a call saying they are having problems getting the loan funded. I have already been in there to have work done on the truck and they gave me a loaner car for 4 days. They are asking for proof of income..that i do have, but not what they want due to being self employed. Can they take the truck back from me???

Re: bought a car
Take a look at and carefully read both sides of your purchase agreement. Typically, they would be able to take it back if it's within the time period specified. It sounds like that period might have elapsed. Still, you might be obligated to obtain financing. Thus, more facts are needed.
