Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

used car purchase return

My sister and dad purchased a used car from a car dealership aprox. 2 weeks ago. The loan did not get funded. they went to return the car and the dealer would not take it back. Said they would sue. They did offer to fund the loan or offer a more affordable vehicle. They also were not given the option of a two day cancellation option . They did have want to take it back two day later because paments were to high. Now that the bank did not fund are the under obligation to fund thru them or buy another vehicle?.Please help
