Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Contract Cancellation
I signed a contract for a Seminar and put down a deposit. The contract stated that there were no refunds. The sales person told me that if I did cancel I would lose my deposit. They did not give me a copy of the contract. I emailed them cancelling 2 days later and sent a copy of the email certified. Does the recission law apply here? I looked up State law and found CC1689.20. Does it apply? Am I entitled to a full refund since I cancelled within 3 days?

Re: Contract Cancellation
Does it apply? Maybe. Where were you when you purchased it? How was it purchased? How did you pay for it? With some more details, someone can answer you, but no one can tell you if the section applies without more information from you.
