Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
contracts
I recently traded in my car for a new
car from a dealership, they drove my
car and agreed on a price for my car
and the new car. four days later
after they had cashed my down
payment. they contacted me saying
that the car i gave to them needed a
new transmission and that i have to
pay for it. I refused stating that they
cashed my check and one of there
staff inspected it and that it had been
over 48 hours. am I right?

Re: contracts
Gee. The usual scam is they call you and tell your financing fell through and you have to pay more. Tell them to go pound sand, or just ignore them. If you bought a used car from them, and you found it had a bad tranny, what do you think their response would be?
Re: contracts
Well you sold your car with no warrantees of any kind, so if they give you a hard time it should be pretty easy for an attorney to shout back, so to speak. Let me know if you need help.
