Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
defaulted deal
I have been paying on a van to a owner of a tow shop. He has been accepting my money and he was suppose to have the van ready for my to take after I finished paying him. I called 2 weeks in advance to let him know I would be in with the final payment but the van was not ready. I waited for 3 weeks for the van and he still has not made the vehicle available to me. I told him I want my money back and he said he could not return my money until he sold the van. What are the legal remedies for this situation?

Re: defaulted deal
You will have to sue to get the money back. If the amount is less than $5000, then you can sue in small claims court.
