Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

Erroneous Credit Report Info -- Capital One

Capital One credit card company has erroneously reported that I filed for bankruptcy. I have been fighting them for nearly 2 months to get it corrected. After a dozen phone calls and absolutely no progress I'd like to know if I have any legal recourse to force action? This major blemish is destroying my credit history. It has been a huge source of embarrassment, not to mention a huge waste of time. Thanks.

Re: Erroneous Credit Report Info -- Capital One

How did you happen to discover this false reporting? And, how was your credit rating before this? Have you been denied loans, credit cards, etc??? I believe there are a few questions we need to ask you before our firm can let you know if we can assist you.

Please contact our office when you have a minute. The number is (818)249-5291. You may ask for Rachel or Amy, they are paralegals at my firm. Thank you.
