Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Hotel prepayment legal?
We have booked a hotel in California for the first week in January, 2007. All other hotels we have stayed in do not charge us until following our stay, at check out. This hotel told us we HAVE to pay up front and charged our credit card the entire rental fee ($1,300) the day we made the reservation. Is this legal??

They can charge up front if they like and if you agreed to it. If you don't like paying 185.71 per day upfront, go elsewhere, or learn to use Priceline..
