Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Mechanic's Mistake
Hi. Recently I took my car to a professional repair center to have my transmission oil changed. It turns out that the mechanic put the wronged oil in my transmission and my transmission went out after I drove it for about 2,000 miles. Is this mechanic liable for his mistake and what can I do to get him to pay for a new transmission. I already had the transmission replaced by a different mechanic and was told by an auto parts store that using the wrong transmission fluid made my transmission fail.

Re: Mechanic's Mistake
Small claims lawsuit for negligence if the repair center refuses to compensate you for the repair.
