Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

Object in food

I just ate a chocolate bar and found something hard and strange in it when I almost broke my tooth biting it. I first though it was a dry part of the peanut filling, but it's really hard and I couldn't even cut through it. It kinda looks like a finger bone... or a stick of wood... What should I do? How to find out what it is and is it a possible case for a lawsuit?

Re: Object in food

Get all necessary medical attention and save the candy bar. If your injuries are minor, take them to small claims court for $7500.

I disagree with my colleague to the extent that, if you had only fleeting pain, I wouldn't encourage a lawsuit. You might write a letter to the candy company explaining what you found. They'll probably comp you a few chocolate bars. We don't need lawsuits if there's no injury to redress.
