Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

Poor car repair

I have a 1967 Mustang that went in to have its transmission rebuilt. Instead of a couple days, it took 5, instead of the verbal quote of $800 it turned out to be $1,100. These little things didn't bother me too bad, but it should have told me something about the shop I was dealing with. The first morning after getting it back, transmission fluid had leaked all over the driveway. I took it back in, and the same afternoon they said it was done. I picked it up and drove straight to the movie store where I parked it and went inside. Meanwhile, it had rolled back and hit another parked car. Thankfully nobody was inside. I left my insurance info and drove home thinking I some reason left it in a gear instead of park. The same thing happened at home. I put it in park and opened the door as the car began rolling. There doesn't seem to be a ''park'' and instead is just a clicking noise as the car rolls away. I'm afraid to take it back to the same shop for more repairs. Can I take it somewhere else and charge the original shop? I had to rent a car for the week it was in, as well as missing 4 hours of work total so far. Is there anything I can do?
