Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Reposessed vehicle
I had a vehicle reposessed a number of years ago(2002). My wages are still being garnished. Out of curiosity I was looking up statutes, possibly settling that debt. One thing I discovered is that the loan company Auto One Acceptance supposedly sent my a Post-Repossession Notice, but to a previous address that I had not been living at for at least 3 years. The vehicle itself was picked up at my current address at the time. Can I go back at this point and try to dispute the validity of the amount owed?
