Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Unpaid refund due
Ordered a 6'' tv online from a company in California. We live in NY. TV was totally inferior, did not work properly. We called the company, they said to send it back. We sent it back, they rec'd it and promised via email to refund the money. They acknowledged recipt 2 1/2 months ago and have not refunded any money and are ignoring our phone calls and emails. Total value is $189. We have already filed complaints with Calif Atty General and BBB. What else can we do?

File a civil complaint in small claims court as well.

You cannot file a small claim against a California company in NY. You would have to do it in California. Probably not worth it.
