Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Collecting from the executor of an estate(personally)

Can I do this. I have an outstanding balance owed to me from the marriage settlement agreement. The trustee/executor refuses to pay me. Can I go after for the money personally. Don't ask me why the Judge allowed for them to pay me outside of what was given to me from the proceeds. Ex passed 3 weeks after divorce (which is why I am dealing with the trustee and estate)

Thanks for any help you may give to me

Re: Collecting from the executor of an estate(personally)

Collecting from an estate must be done fairly quickly. For instance, a lawsuit must be brought (if at all) within a year of the person's death, or it is forever barred. One can file suit against XXX as the executor of the estate of YYY. Please let me know if I may be of some help.
