Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

credit card payment

I agreed to have a credit card company take 4 payments of $25.00 directly from my checking account

Starting in November ending in February. When I sat down to balance my checkbook I found that they had put an amount of $183.00 as my first payment instead of the agreed upon $25.00. Do I have any legal recourse in this matter?

Re: credit card payment

If you did in fact owe them the money, then there is probably no recourse. Technically, they committed a breach of contract but if you did do than the money you can't really say you are damaged.
