Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

I was informed that I was going to be sued for breach of contract, re: credit card debt from 2001. Prior to receiving this voicemail, the same firm called my boyfriends house an told his son that they would send an officer to the house to serve me. In either phone calls did they identify themselves. It wasnt until I called them back did they tell me what it was regarding. I reside in California. Where do I stand?

Too late for them to successfully sue you if you know your rights. Ignore them, or sue them for unfair debt collection practices. If you receive a lawsuit pleaae contact me.
