Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Joint auto loans

I have a car that I signed on a loan with an ex-girlfriend. I am the primary signer and she has been late with the payments by 30 days at least 10 times and once 60 days. She is currently late by 11 days and this is affecting my credit. I would like to take possession of the vehicle from her and she is not willing to give it back. How do I go by legally obtaining possession of my car?

Re: Joint auto loans

Are you both on the title to the car? If so, she is entitled to possesion of the car. You could buy her out. But that is about your best option.
