Can they do this?
Can a merchant thru its own collection agency contact me and tell me I owe the money when it was an unathorized transaction on my credit card two years ago? My credit card company had already sent me a verification letter stating the fraud investigation is over I am full creidted for all unauthorized transactions.
I sent debt validation request to them, and they said they will send me ''debt vlaidation'' letter. I know what they are doing is wrong, but what laws and regulations are they violating?

Check the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. It's a Federal Law and you should be able to find it on the net very easily.
